Tasting & Presentation with Kindred Forest
Join us on Tuesday the 25th November from 2.30pm to 5pm for an exclusive tasting session and presentation with Kindred Forest.
Kindred Forest specialises in sourcing high-quality green coffee beans with the goal of preserving and regenerating rainforests, biodiversity and cultures. They partner directly with local and indigenous producers and conservation projects to support this mission, while also offering quality coffees with unique flavour profiles from lesser-known regions in Indonesia, Bolivia and Colombia. Several of their coffees are Wildlife Friendly-certified, and all are shade-grown and have unique social and environmental impact stories behind them.
A large selection of coffees will be available to sample:
Exotic micro lots from Cauca, Colombia
A selection of very special award-winning lots (eg. Geisha, Pink Bourbon), including coffees bought at regional auctions and featuring exceptional flavour profiles characteristic of the region's unique terroir.
Three lots from the Andean Bear certified coffee farms in Valle del Cauca, available for the first time in the UK. The project is pioneered by a group of 8 farmers with the support of conservation organisations, aimed at improving coffee production while conserving the local wildlife and the national park.
Arhuaco Arabica, organically grown in the sacred mountains of Sierra Nevada by the remote community of Sogrome. This coffee supports the preservation of a unique indigenous culture whose beliefs are deeply rooted in nature.
Honey and Natural Indonesia Kerinci
Grown on the slopes of Mt Kerinci, Indonesia’s tallest volcano. Brought in partnership with ALKO, a farmer-owned cooperative remarkable for their innovation in traceability with the goal of preserving nature, champion farmers and empower women.
Bolivia Samaipata IPR
A delicate and juicy washed Arabica grown in the foothills of the Andes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site close to the Ámboro National Park. The farm serves as a biological corridor and follows organic farming practices.
Indonesia Robusta
Grown in the lush, biodiverse Petungkriyono Forest, this distinctive Robusta defies expectations, delivering an exceptionally clean cup. Produced in collaboration with the SwaraOwa Foundation and certified Wildlife Friendly®.
Participation is free, but registration is required and space limited.
We look forward to seeing you there!
